Colorectal & Proctology Surgery Fellowship
Hands-on training in colorectal surgery and proctology, from day-care procedures to major resections.
Training mode
You join the colorectal surgery unit as a fellow under an assigned senior consultant, one-to-one, for the full placement.
- In theatre: you scrub in on major colorectal and day-care proctology lists. Your role grows from positioning and exposure to anastomosis and anal procedures, as your consultant judges you ready.
- In clinic: you assess colorectal and anorectal patients, including examination and proctoscopy.
- Endoscopy: you take part in colonoscopy sessions linked to colorectal care.
- On the ward: you follow your patients through recovery and stoma care.
Your actual level of involvement (observing, assisting, or performing steps under supervision) is decided by your supervising consultant, based on your previous experience, skills, competency, and overall performance.

Training location
We offer this Fellowship Program in collaboration with several well-known hospitals across India. Final acceptance is subject to the applicant's proposed training dates, hospital schedules, and consultant availability.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive an official Training Certificate issued by the hosting hospital, recognizing your participation and clinical training.

The registration fee secures your placement and covers the NMC and hospital paperwork.
NMC temporary license
This is the authorization issued by the National Medical Commission for foreign doctors undertaking practical medical training in India.
The licensing process typically takes approximately two months, and our office will coordinate and handle the necessary procedures on your behalf. We therefore recommend planning your proposed training dates accordingly.
