Advanced Laparoscopic & HPB Surgery Fellowship
Hands-on training in advanced laparoscopic surgery and hepato-pancreato-biliary procedures.
Training mode
You join the minimal access and HPB surgery department as a fellow under an assigned senior consultant, one-to-one, for the full placement.
- In theatre: you scrub in on laparoscopic and HPB lists from the start. Your role grows from port placement, camera and retraction to dissection and intracorporeal suturing, as your consultant judges you ready.
- In clinic: you work up liver, pancreatic and biliary patients with your consultant, from imaging review to surgical planning.
- On the ward: you follow your patients through recovery after major resections.
- Tumour board: you take part in multidisciplinary meetings on HPB cancer cases.
Your actual level of involvement (observing, assisting, or performing steps under supervision) is decided by your supervising consultant, based on your previous experience, skills, competency, and overall performance.

Training location
We offer this Fellowship Program in collaboration with several well-known hospitals across India. Final acceptance is subject to the applicant's proposed training dates, hospital schedules, and consultant availability.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive an official Training Certificate issued by the hosting hospital, recognizing your participation and clinical training.

The registration fee secures your placement and covers the NMC and hospital paperwork.
NMC temporary license
This is the authorization issued by the National Medical Commission for foreign doctors undertaking practical medical training in India.
The licensing process typically takes approximately two months, and our office will coordinate and handle the necessary procedures on your behalf. We therefore recommend planning your proposed training dates accordingly.
